Doug - still going strong

Woodwork in the 60's & 70's

Now this is going back in time.....

In the late 60's to early 70's Woodwork used to be a school activity. Doug, who was an undertaker by day, taught boys to make the usual thinks which were popular at that time - spice racks, foot stools, coffee tables and magazine holders.

Then the fun started - they moved on to coffins. One was often seen on Llandovery day draped in one of their scarves! I believe that the said coffin may still be in the possession of our old foes 20 miles west.

Happy 90th Birthday to Doug.
